Blink 3D Version 2 Released |

Pelican Crossing has released version 2 of Blink 3D. The new release of the Builder adds many of the features requested by users of version 1, including ortho views, drag and drop assets, Google Analytics compatibility, and Plain SASL authentication for use with public jabber servers. In addition, the Builder is now available in a low-cost "Lite" version and a FREE "Ultra-Lite" version (get them here). For more information, see the official press release.

Here's another great Blink 3D environment from George Lippert. Taking his inspiration from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter novels, George has created a new section of Hogwarts to serve as the headquarters of "Alma Aleron" (the American Wizarding School). The environment is a complement to George Lippert's fan-lit story about Harry Potter's son, James Potter and the Hall of Elders' Crossing. Ernst Dommershuijzen of Mainstream Netservice has unveiled a preview version of his virtual recreation of Amsterdam's Crystal Palace (the Paleis voor Volksvlijt). The original building, which opened in 1864, was destroyed by fire in 1929. The new 3D model resurrects the building as an immersive, interactive environment which, when complete, will serve as an online meeting space and exhibition hall.
